Title: 1066: The Game
Rating:
Review: I couldn't find this game on the original link posted as the URL, but it was easily found on Kongregate:

http://www.kongregate.com/games/ChannelFour/1066

It was worth looking for.

The game follows a brief story line of the three major battles leading to The Normans taking England in 1066 with a brief but informative narration before battles. The player fights first as the invading Vikings, the defending Saxons and finally the conquering Normans, using the unique units and attack/defense/courage ratio for each team. The game play mixes good control of the units on the field with interactive fights, charges, arrow bombardments and taunts, to make the player a bit more involved. The controls for the interactive segments were a little tricky at first but were easily mastered after using them a few times.

Great game.
